It always feels like a cross between Christmas Day and the Big Game day whenever the car show comes to town.
The Mercedes Benz exhibit takes the spaces right next to the front door each year and this year their new front wheel drive CLA took center stage.
The CLA looks like a small CLS with the added benefit of space saving front wheel drive. Prices start at under $30,000. No wonder it's such a strong seller. Nice looking car too.
What would Tony Stark drive?
A 5.2 liter V-10 powered, Audi R8, that's what.
What color do you want yours in?
The Cadillac ELR is gorgeous. And it's a coupe too so you know I'm in love.
Love can be expensive, though. An ELR will run you more than $75,000. Good thing it's good on gas.
The ELR comes with its own handy, dandy, brown out inducing charging station just like the car it's based on, the Chevrolet Volt.
The ATS is a winner and has quickly found itself on my short list.
I'll take it in black. BTW, that "new" Cadillac logo is a throwback to the Cadillac logo from the 1950's.
Cadillac has never had a more impressive lineup than now and it's only going to get even more awesome. Their range topper, for now, is the $75,000 CTS V-Sport with a 410 horsepower, twin turbo 3.6 V-6 engine.
Move over, Tesla.
The Porsche Panamera S e-hybrid is here to steal your mojo. Not that you were here anyway. This gorgeous Porsche will set you back just shy of 112G. How many you want?
Jaguar XK-F. F is for fabulous.
The new Corvette was in the house. Very nice but I though it wasn't getting the attention I thought it should have been getting.
The new Impala continues to impress with its overall strong design and value. Despite a 4 cylinder engine.
The basis for that slammin' Cadillac ELR is this Chevrolet Volt. Same car, less than half the cost. No one seems to care anymore about it.
Chevrolet has big plans for the Chevrolet Colorado. I'm not a truck guy so I have no idea if this is a cool truck or a weird truck.
I was very impressed with the new Chrysler 200. It's a beautiful car. I can't find too much info about it although I do know it will sport at least the 2.4 liter, "Tigershark" in line 4. I'd buy this car just to say it's got a Tiger Shark engine. Although, I hope it comes with the awesome Chrysler 3.6 liter V-6.
Another highlight of the car show is the vintage car show. This is a 1984 DATSUN, not Nissan, 300 ZX Turbo.
When was the last time you saw a Cosworth Vega?
With the original twin cam engine?
1958 Buick. Yes, dahlink. You're super.
Chevrolet Caprice Diesel with the infamous GM diesel 350!
1978 25th anniversary Corvette that had been on display at the Corvette Museum down in Kentucky. Obviously, before the sinkhole.
1956 Cadillac Coupe deVille. Note the emblem on the hood.
1972 Lotus Europa. Despite being 42 years old this car still looks like the future. Weighs only 1,400 pounds.
The Lexus LF-A rounded out the afternoon in all its glory.
This was a great show and I can't wait for next year!
